Description

I was first drawn into djing back in the early 90's after being influenced by the electronica sounds of Sunset Radio (808 State), Paul Taylor & friends at the now legendary club Angels, Burnley and the harder techno sounds of the dj's at hippos in Middleton. I soon sussed out the art of mixing, then every Friday I played to a wide verity of people, playing a mixture of old skool house, disco and soul.
Since then I developed a style, pretty much my own, blending tracks in such a way I can tease the crowd until the right moment, releasing tunes with maximum effect. I always like an element of funk in my sets and play different styles of house in my sets, but what really get’s me going is dirty, twisted, deep house with harder tech house. And on occasion I will play funky beats of breaks with techno.
When behind the decks I display all the energy and passion of the music, loving, breathing and feeling every moment. And once I’ve finished, I love nothing more than joining the party and dancing (or trying) on the dancefloor till the early hours.
I started in the Drybar, Manchester’s most legendary bar as a guest, returning on more than one occasion. I collaborated with a friend to promote and dj at a one off night at Sankeys Soap for our friends from the club and the message board. These gigs lead to other gigs in Manchester.
Since then I have keep on djing, gaining guest slots in bars/clubs/festivals in and around Manchester, returning to venues again and again keep the crowd rocking, keeping the dream alive. Over the last two years, I have run my own radio show on www.clublifeglobal.com, attracting top djs to guest such as Max Cooper (Traum), Scott Langley (Ministry of Sound), Tim Sheridan (VVWI), Saytek, only to mention a few

technotherapy.info — We are Techno Therapy ***************************************************************** Dedicated to emotional electronic music. Music with a message, music with an energy one can't deny. From the early electro/techno sound in detroit during the 80's to the deep and emotive sounds of Bremen, Germany. We prize ourselves on the groove, or some might say the anti groove. The anti groove we as modern machines need to oil a hard day at work, or soothe a repressed thought or feeling from a long time ago. The same groove the needle of a record player sits in so happily, a groove which is established and translated through energy, the energy we can not see but hear, the energy we can no touch but can definitely feel. From the seductive chords of Davis and May, to the destruction and dismay of Bodzin, and the translation of discontent of Nathan Fake to the futuristic and emotive alchemy of Justin Robertson and so many, but yet so few others - we present you Techno Therapy. Therapy through music, we are the technocrats of a eugenically, psychological, and correct sound. The bearers of a sound, not for all, but for those who look deeper into conscious convergence. Those who search for a meaning deeper than what fascism has to offer, an escapism without substances. An answer to the superpower plans for a brave new world. Helping us cope with totalitarianism. An answer to modern day global communism. ***************************************************************** Techno Therapy, prizes itself on techno music, as the name suggests, but has a slightly obscure remit which concentrates on pushing music which will act as a theme tune for the, some say conspiracy ʻnew world orderʼ theory. The label does not take a particular stance on the subject but aimʼs to release music to the context their of. Each respective artist has their take on the subject and works with this remit respectively, and as they wish. The label is loosely crafted around the ideas of the novel, Brave New World (Aldous Huxley), which explores social science fiction, and social engineering. The thesis of the label is to create scientific-ly effective sound for the modern personʼs living trend. The term and label name Techno Therapy refers to a type of therapy which relieves 'one' from the stresses of today's modern world. The sound is mainly therapeutic, emotional, and deep, but will also have an energetic anarchy outbreak from time to time. We hope to represent the start of the electronic sound in the early 80ʼs right through, capturing the evolution – to the way things are today and experimenting new trends for the future. ***************************************************************** Techno Therapy started off as a party brand in 2008, and has hosted nights around London, and also in Amsterdam, through this time we have found our own signature sound and are re-branding into a record label that hosts nights promoting our music. We hope to be as active on the party scene as usual, booking artists who have worked with the label on a regular basis, making presence at festivals and international events around the globe. Our primary target market ranges from inner-city working men and women in Europe and America who have many experiences from the nineteen eighties, to the new age youth who search for vintage sounds signatory of a long lost, yet extremely influential past.
