Preview Pete Dafeet'sfuture release Pete Dafeet delivers his 2nd Lost My Dog EP of 2012 with ‘Freeze’ in July. Whether it’s a reference to the British summer weather we’re not sure! Three original tracks – ‘Mistakes’, ‘Freeze’ and ‘Grit Your Teeth’ – are typical of the London producer’s muchloved style with snapping drums, dominating bass lines and strong melodies taking centre stage, all underpinned by heavy influences from the house/techno music capitals of Chicago, Detroit and New York. Remixes come from two of the brightest emerging talents in house music – the Australian/Czech duo of Shades Of Gray (Beef Records/Om Records) and another Aussie, Murat Kilic (Reckless Republic/Stil Vor Talent), who marks his hat-trick remix outing on Lost My Dog.
UK producer YSE (of Rhythm Plate) and New York singer/songwriter Frank H. Carter III deliver their secondm collaboration on Lost My Dog, and the follow up to 2011’s single ‘Guessing Games’. The ‘Foundations EP’ sees YSE and Frank get into a larger project with three tracks – ‘I Don’t Want Love’ and ‘Play On’ cover warm deep house with incredibly powerful soulful vocals from Frank while a third track ‘Magic In Your Eyes’ shows the duo’s diversity, offering relaxed electronic lounge.

Lost My Dog’s annual jaunt to the Sonar festival comes this year with a five-track sampler featuring a mixture of LMD artists old and new. Like the Sonar festival itself it’s an international affair as label stalwarts Pete Dafeet and YSE (both UK) are joined by last year’s star find Acid Andee (Spain) and newcomers Sek (Greece) and Angelo Draetta (Italy).

One of Lost My Dog’s early artists – Demarkus Lewis – returns to the label with three brand new tracks. The ‘Snazz-A-Tron EP’ straddles the line where house meets garage, both of the US and UK persuasion.
