secretsundaze are very happy to announce details of our Closing party for our summer 2011 - the final party in our 10th anniversary summer season series of parties. We have been celebrating our 10th anniversary across the whole of summer 2011 with a string of sellout parties, a new 12" label and also our new double CD compilation "10 Years of secretsundaze" mixed by residents Giles Smith and James Priestley out just a few weeks ago. For our swansong we are very happy to welcome Thomas Franzmann more famously known as Zip to make his long overdue secretsundaze debut. We have known Zip as a friend for quite some time, bumping into him at various spots around the globe so we are very happy to welcome such an excellent DJ and all round good guy. He has been plying his trade for many years but its perhaps over the last 5 that his profile has really rocketed despite his total lack of interest in self promotion and desire to be in the spotlight. It's most unusual in this day and age for such a well respected, successful artist to not have an agent representing him but Zip always does things "his way".

He is perhaps the definitive DJs DJ and is most known for being Ricardo's favourite DJ to play with. He is a avid vinyl fan and always manages to unearth gems that pass so many other DJs by. He like Ricardo is also known for his long sets often playing up to 7 or 8 hours. The backbone of his sets are house but of course with an open mind and heart he makes journeys into dubstep, garage and detroit techno. His seminal and highly influential label Perlon is a vinyl only imprint and is pretty much the blueprint for more minimal, yet often  groovy House / Techno releasing music by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Mathew Johnson back in the day, but the label is perhaps most defined by quirky bumping tracks by the likes of Markus Nikolai, Thomas Melchior, Audio Werner of course his alter ego Dimbiman.

Also coming up...10 Years of secretsundaze Weekender

Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August sees our 10th season celebrations peak in the form of 2 parties over 2 days at venues to be announced for the official 10th Birthday. Guests include Rolando and Moodymann. This will be the first time we have done a "weekender" so we are very excited at the prospect. Being the 10th birthday we are putting increased emphasis on production values across both parties so expect the usual high quality sound plus lots of other special touches and surprises that will make this a weekend to remember.

Please note there are a limited number of "weekender tickets" for both days available on RA for both days priced £35.

And finally...

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their love, wellwishes and support in our 10th year. Biguppp!  It really has been a great year and very fitting of our 10th year of existence! The move from bi-weekly to monthly has worked out well in our old age and Giles and James both have slightly more energy at this moment than they normally have at this time of year, deep into the season!

Apart from the parties it has been a great year in many ways with the development our agency "The Secret Agency";  secretsundaze - the singles label finally kicking off to great reaction releasing the likes of Brawther and Two Armadillos; and last but not least we are very proud to have released our 3rd mix CD ingeniously entitled "10 Years of secretsundaze". Last Tuesday we launched the LP in conjunction with Boiler Room on a terrace in Hackney Wick to a complete roadblock and this can be viewed as from early this week on Boiler Room's website www.boilerroom.tv

Finally we have had (so far) another amazing year of touring with gigs across the globe promoting the LP and this continues in the next weeks with gigs at Panorama bar, Zoo Project Ibiza, Content in Manchester, Glascow and a Japan tour on October.
